The Hostos Academic Learning Center Welcomes you to eTutoring!
From February 8 through May 17, 2010, etutoring will be available to all registered Hostos Students
Hostos Community College is a partner in the Northeast eTutoring Consortium, enabling us to provide online tutoring support for all of our students. As a Hostos student, you have ongoing access to online professional tutoring services in the following areas: - Writing
- Math (from the developmental level through Calculus II)
- Accounting
- Biology (including Anatomy & Physiology)
- Chemistry
- Information Literacy (and Research Methods)
- Statistics
LOGIN INSTRUCTIONS Username: Your user name is the same username you use to get access to your e-mail account. Password: Your initial password is "HOSTOS500."
Once you have logged in, you will have the opportunity to update your profile and change your password. If you have technical difficulties with eTutoring, contact CTDLC Support by clicking on "Support" at the top right corner of the screen or by sending an email to support@ctdlc.org.
eTutoring Resources
Online Writing Lab allows you to submit a draft of your paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive your work back with a tutor's comments within 24 to 48 hours. (You may submit three drafts per paper.)
Live Tutoring via eChat allows you to meet with a tutor in one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment.
Offline Questions allows you to leave a specific question for an eTutor, who will respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner).
