What People Are Saying About eTutoring | |
![]() |
Faculty at my college are always impressed with the consistency and quality of the feedback their students receive from eTutoring. Whether students are writing at the ESL, developmental, or college-level, they get the type of advice that will allow them both to revise their work and to grow as writers. Some faculty simply make students aware of the service, some formally introduce it into their classes, while others require students to submit all their writing to a tutor first. Whatever strategy they use, faculty appreciate eTutoring as an integral part of the teaching and learning process. Quote from Jim Gentile, Professor at Manchester Community College, and Chairman of the Center for Teaching of the Connecticut Community College System |
What options are available to me?
eTutoring offers two models: collaborative and individual. Within the collaborative model, participating institutions share resources to provide greater coverage and quicker turn-around time. eTutoring monitors the quality of the writing tutor feedback. Within the individual model, an institution is free to use the software platform with their own tutors.

eTutoring is built to be cross platform and cross browser compatible. The only plug-in students will need to have installed on their computers is Adobe Flash for the live tutoring sessions.
