eTutoring is not available to GCC students in the Winter
For the Spring 2019 semester this service will be available from January 28- May 19 2019.
eTutoring is not available on Tuesday mornings from 7-9AM EST
GCC is partnering with The Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium (CTDLC) to provide online tutoring assistance to online students through eTutoring. All Gateway CC students will have access to eTutoring's free online professional tutoring services in the following areas:
Writing – All Subjects including Graduate-level Writing
Math (from the developmental level through Pre-Calculus)
Calculus I. and II.
Accounting, including Business Accounting, Business Law, Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting
Online Writing Lab allows you to submit a draft of your paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive your work back with a tutor's response within 48 hours.
Live Tutoring via eChat allows you to meet with a tutor for one-on-one tutoring sessions via a fully interactive, virtual online environment.
Offline Questions allows you to leave a specific question for an etutor, who will respond within 48 hours.
To use eTutoring:
To Log in, choose the Northeast eTutoring Consortium and select Gateway Community College as your institution in the right-hand drop box.
Your GCC identification number (for example, @12345678) is your Username, and "Gateway" is your Password. This will bring up your Account Profile. Make sure you use an uppercase G when you enter the password (Gateway).
Please verify all information in your Account Profile and select and respond to a secret question.
Change your password at this time.
Please read and accept the eTutoring Terms and Conditions by checking the 'I agree to all terms and conditions' box at the bottom of the page.
Once this is completed you are ready to begin by clicking on one of the eTutoring Resources on the welcome page.
