(Includes Metropolitan and Vancouver campus undergrads, Petrocelli online learners, and Community College Partnership)
Welcome back to the Spring 2017 semester. eTutoring will resume services for undergraduates on Monday, January 23 until Friday, May 5th.
Log-in instructions follow below; for assistance, call 201-692-2166.
Three eTutoring resources are available:
Online Writing Lab: Allows you to submit up to three drafts of the same paper to a tutor, ask for specific feedback, and receive your work back with a tutor's comments within 24 to 48 hours. Please note: If you are submitting a paper for review, know that the eTutors do not proofread to identify and/or correct every error in your paper but rather identify patterns of errors or weaknesses and explain how to make improvements.
Offline eQuestions: Allows you to leave a specific question for an eTutor, who will respond within 48 hours (but usually sooner).
Synchronous echat provides live chat tutoring in these subjects this summer:
Math (Developmental through Pre-Calculus)
Calculus I and II
Writing ( all Subjects)
Research Methods and Information Literacy
Anatomy and Physiology 1
Getting Started with eTutoring:
To log in, use your FDU student ID number as your login and your birthdate as your password; if your birthdate is July 10, 1991, your password would be 07101991 (more detailed instructions are available at ucoll.fdu.edu/metro):
You will have the opportunity to change your password after your first login.
eTutoring is not connected to any of your other FDU accounts; changing your password here will NOT change it in another account.
You must read and accept the eTutoring Terms and Conditions by checking the "I agree to all terms and conditions" box at the bottom of the page
Click on one of the eTutoring Resources on the welcome page and you are started.
The Weekly Tutor Schedules are available on the lower right-hand bottom of the welcome page. If you need assistance with your login or how to use eTutoring, call the Metro Writing Studio graduate assistants at 201-692-2166 during Studio tutoring hours or email email@example.com. If you need technical assistance with the eTutoring platform itself, please click on SUPPORT on the uppermost part of your screen, or go to http://esupport.ctdlc.org
We hope that you find the eTutoring support to be of great value to you in your courses. Best of luck in your studies this semester!
