UMass Dartmouth students registered for courses, or matriculated into a degree program, have access to FREE online eTutoring through the Math & Business Center, the Writing and Reading Center and the Language Lab.
All three tutoring centers are open weekdays until early evening for the convenience of day and evening students and in Elmwood Residence Hall Sundays through Thursdays, 7-10 p.m. Staffed by peer tutors, our services are used by both undergraduate and graduate students. It doesn't matter if you have only one question or if you need long term assistance in one or more areas; eTutoring exists to help students be successful at UMass Dartmouth.

Please have your questions ready in advance and relay that you prefer to make use of eTutoring, so that the Center understands that you will not be stopping by in person.

Writing and Reading Center
Fall 2017 online writing tutoring begins on Monday 9/18.
The Writing and Reading Center offers students the unique opportunity to receive one-on-one tutoring with a trained and highly skilled peer tutor, covering a variety of subjects and skills across the disciplines. Topics frequently covered include:
Business / Technical writing
Reading and study strategies
Planning a paper / outlining/ organizing
Citing sources and citation styles
Enhancing style, voice, clarity, tone
Once you are logged into the eTutoring platform using your UMassD username and password, you will be able to upload the document that you’d like to have reviewed. After uploading your document, please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
If you have additional questions or concerns, you can email or place a phone call to the Writing & Reading Center. When contacting the Writing & Reading Center, please provide your name, student ID # and the course that you are enrolled in. If you are making use of the eTutoring option, please clarify you are interested in eTutoring, so that the Center understands that you will not be stopping by in person.
