We can help all Green River students with writing assignments from any class. Please read the following information to help you get started!
Please ask for specific feedback when you submit your work. In our online sessions, we provide a maximum of 30 minutes of tutoring. Our goal is to help you with one or two problems at a time, so that you can avoid making those same mistakes in the future. Generally, we are not able to identify every problem in your writing, and we cannot read an entire draft, especially for longer papers. Students are welcome to submit the same paper multiple times, but the student must revise the paper between submissions. Our goal is to make you stronger writers, and to provide you with the tools to be successful in your classes.
Our eTutors are all students or alumni from Green River who are hired, trained, and paid by the Writing & Reading Center. eTutors are the same tutors you will see when you come into the Writing & Reading Center in RLC 174 for drop-in tutoring. eTutoring is only available in asychronous format.
Once you have submitted your draft and asked for specific feedback, you can expect to receive your work back with a tutor’s comments in approximately 24-48 hours. Please note Friday submissions will not receive responses until the following week.
